I’m sure it’s an existing theory. I mean you’re traveling through time, not space. And since the Earth is always moving if you reappear at a point where the Earth isn’t exactly where it was when you left you’ll be displaced. It just makes sense so I’m sure someone somewhere much more intelligent than I has already published a paper on it.
