Happy 4th of July to all my American readers! And Happy 4th of July to all my non-American readers! You may not celebrate America’s independence by eating German meat and exploding Chinese chemistry on today but you should still have a great Saturday!
Seriously it doesn’t weird anybody out that the main celebrations of America’s independence aren’t even remotely American in origin?
Also, as a lesson to the younger readers I may have- drinking alcohol is no way to solve your problems. It can only end in tears. Same thing with Bachelor’s degrees in English or Art. Except that has massive amounts of debt tacked on as well.
Finally, I thought my wife and I were super clever for coming up with these cocktail names. Turns out most of them were invented already. That makes me both sad and…well, sad but the second one is for a different reason.

An English degree isn’t so bad. You just have to be willing to intern for awhile like almost everyone else nowadays ;)
Of course, my first intended line of work is ESL, which is supplemented by an East Asian Studies major and soon to be education minor, so maybe I’m a little biased o3o
