For those of you who may not get the joke- this is based on some great stories on Creepy Pasta, which is a website for urban legends in the digital age, the Slenderman legend (which originated in the Something Awful forums, but still has some great Creepy Pastas) and The Story of Her Holding an Orange. Check them out! They are not for younger viewers though. Sorry.

First and foremost I want to give a shout out to some of my Twitter bros without whom I probably wouldn’t get half the views I am! @Lunarbaboon is a great guy with a great comic. If you’re a new dad, or an old dad, or an interdimensional dad then check him out. You won’t be sorry, unless ‘sorry’ means ‘satisfied due to a pleasurable activity’ in your dimension in which case you’ll be very sorry! On that note @DASchubert is another great dad comic and what’s really impressive is that he does all his stuff in watercolor! I’ve never been able to do that. Also, I’m pretty sure he has coffee introvenously dripped into his veins on a constant basis. @raindogcomic is an awesome awesome dude who just does not stop working. The man is a machine and he also has insanely good taste in music. He told me he’s seen Primus three times and for that I want to stab him out of jealousy. Raindogs the comic can be found in the link page and it is well worth your time and eyeball viewing. @jedwardedens is a master. Master of Vectors. Master of vectors is drawing the strings!! Sorry. Whenever I say ‘master’ that song pops in my head. I think it’s part of a defense mechanism to drive out the memory of the St. Anger album. Anyway, this dude gives some of the best advice and knows what he’s doing and what he’s talking about. Rabbidforce.us and crestlinestreet.com can be found in the links section.  @krash_pow of zombieboycomics.com is an insanely talented guy with a comic strip that deserves to be in the newspaper. He’s that good. Imagine Broom Hilda mixed with For Better or Worse and then imagine if both of those were actually funny. That’s Zombie Boy. And how could I forget the iconic Adorable Crap from the bizarre mastermind @Glavin13? If you like Gary Larson, and you should because anyone who doesn’t will be proven wrong come the great Larsoning Rapture of 2077, you should see Adorable Crap. Same dry, bizarre humor that really shouldn’t be that funny but in reality causes me to shoot milk from my nose. He was also one of my first fans who was also a comic artist, so there’s that. A genuinely good guy (if you overlook the plethora of restraining orders). @quaylestation is also a great person, even if he is quite possibly the most unfair fake dad I’ve ever had! He didn’t even get me a car for my 16th birthday! He got me a McDonald’s job application! Thanks for making me a FREAK, DAD. Seriously though, Call of Cthulu the Musical is a bizarre venture into insanity and I love every dang second of it. I know I’ve forgotten some, so sorry if I have.

Also I’m going to be having some guest art on the fantastic comic Raindogs on Friday (hopefully)! It’s my first crossover and that means I’m one step closer to all my slash fics becoming a reality!!

I also want to give a huge shout out to my Mother and not just because I forgot it was Mother’s Day (Thanks, OBAMA) who doesn’t quite get how this whole webcomic thing works but has stood behind me every step of the way and given me a kick in the pants when I needed it, which is usually constantly. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know and is the sweetest lady around and I don’t know where I’d be without her, other than not born. She is one of my biggest supporters by far and I love her for it. I’m not sure if she knows that saying “Read my webcomic! My mom thinks it’s hilarious!” carries about as much weight as “I stick gerbils up my nose” in that people just sort of smile and pat your head while hoping you never get your hands on a shillelagh, but god bless her for doing it anyway. She never lets me down and never will. Usually because if she lets me down I run rampant and the police show up at our front door again.

Furthermore, my mother in law is a saint who has put up with my shenanigans for around a decade now. How she allowed me to marry her incredible daughter is beyond me, but I am super lucky to know her. She puts up with me and her husband shanghai-ing the TV at her place every Wednesday to play Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty like a couple of 14 year old boys. She is seriously one of the best ladies I’ve ever had the pleasure to know or call a mother-in-law. Definitely one of the top three mother-in-laws I’ve ever had. Easily.

Lastly, to Mrs. Admin, without whom I could never ever keep this webcomic dream going. You are incredible my love.

I’m going to be down in Dallas Comic-Con this Friday and you should all come down to see me there! And not just me! You can see the iconic John Romita Jr., who drew one of my favorite Hulk stories: World War Hulk! Also attending is the immensely talented Amanda Conner, who drew what is, in my opinion, the best run of Power Girl ever. There’s also gonna be an entire exhibit on Katsuhiro Otomo and Satoshi Kon’s magnum opus, Akira, specifically from the point of view of the benchmark anime! Not to mention a friend of one of my SCAD Professors: Eric Canete who definitely inspired some parts of the new Iron Man 3! Oh! Oh! And THE Jim Steranko! The living legend of Fantastic Four and Avengers and many other classic comics will be there too! It’s gonna be fun on the run in a bun! And also strenuous! I’m gonna have some great prints and stuff to pawn out and I’ll always be glad to see or hear from a fan of the comic! Or from actual sentient fans! That’s good too. Question: if you are a sentient fan and I speak into you to sound like Darth Vader, is that like sexual harassment for robits?

Even MORE exciting than that is my good buddy and previous best man J. Alan Davidson is in the new film Home Run so you should totally go see that because he’s a meth head! He also plays one in the film, too! No seriously, he’s an awesomely cool guy and could use the support. He’s one of the best actors I know and has taught me more than anyone should have to. And not just because I have a severe learning disability that makes me put random words at the end of sentences but because he’s just a genuinely great applesauce.

Ninja and Pirate isn’t getting a lot of views compared to some of the other webcomic artists I’ve been talking to, so keep getting that word out! Tell your friends about Ninja and Pirate and how it will ALWAYS be family friendly and will ALWAYS be free. I am doing my best to keep this site going, but I need your help. I put up some Project Wonderful ads on the site and hopefully some merch and t-shirts are on the way, but the biggest help will be to just tell people about Ninja and Pirate so that they can enjoy it for themselves! I WILL be upgrading to TWO comics a week soon, rather than the just Wednesday, but that’s still in the works. I’m trying to get time to be able to work on them but I will be doing it. I’ll let you guys know when it’s coming though, regardless! It’s gonna be hell on me but good for you!

Thank you to everyone for reading and supporting Ninja and Pirate! You guys are amazing and are the reason I keep doing this: so that people can always laugh! I’ll see you guys next week! And, as always, you can get in contact with me by following me on Twitter at @NinjaandPirate or e-mailing me at ninja_pirate_comic@yahoo.com! Don’t be intimidated about contacting me just because I drew and quartered the last guy who did. That son of a gun had it coming. “Hi How are You” my foot. We all knew what he meant…
