Yes, I realize the Butterfly Effect is actually not necessarily related to time travel. The whole “flap its wings on one side of the world creates a hurricane on the other” thing. But “A Sound of Thunder” which is a story about time travel deals with changes that occur through time after a butterfly is stepped on so I figure it can stay.
Also, Infant Island would make a lot more sense if it was actually just a colossal grandma sweater. At least I would expect a moth to come out of there. Think about it.
